Earlier in the week at the MGS 25th anniversary event, Hideo Kojima and Avi Arad revealed that a Metal Gear Solid movie is in the works, and will be produced by Columbia Pictures. The Metal Gear games have long been acclaimed for their cinematic qualities, and the movie will be true to the franchise, according to Arad.
Arad already has two other big game adaptations on his books: the action adventure Uncharted and the sci-fi shooter inFamous. He has also produced the hugely successful Iron Man and Amazing Spider-Man movies.
Not much else is known about the movie, but you can expect Kojima to have a big role in helping out, being a avid movie geek himself.
