Remember Me is the newest title from Capcom for the PS3, first announced on Tuesday at Gamescom. We have more details about the game as well as a second trailer. Players will take on the role of Nilin and be swept into the future world of Neo-Paris where memories are bought and sold in an age where social media and sharing have been taken to the extreme.
Nilin was once a feared enforcer for the agency that controls this information, but she now finds her memory wiped clean and must fight to find out the truth about who she is and why this was done to her. Capcom states that the game has “moments of extreme action on par with any big name game out on the market today,” in addition to “plenty of opportunities to execute mind blowing combos.”
The game’s unique gameplay feature is the ability to “hack” into peoples memories. This gives you the option to alter key details in the past as they perceive it, causing a ‘butterfly effect’ within the target’s consciousness.
The title will release in 2013, but an exact release date or window were not revealed.
