According to Chart-Track data, the PS Vita in the UK is tracking at just under a third of what the PSP achieved after the first ten weeks. The PS Vita has sold just 100,000 units according to the website, although the numbers have not been confirmed by Sony.
In comparison, the PSP sold three and a half times as many units in the same period after launch. The PS Vita seems to be struggling mainly because of the high hardware costs and some pretty high game prices. Games for other mobile devices, like the iPhone and Android, cost around 10% of a typical Vita game.
Lets see what Sony has planned for later this year to boost the PS Vita’s sales.
