Boot up your PlayStation 3 morning to download the latest firmware update for your console. As announced earlier this week, the firmware update renames the PSN Accounts to SEN Accounts, but that’s not all. We were surprised to see that Sony made a few improvements to the software too.
Sony has improved the PS3’s browser, which optimizes the display of content and increases the accuracy when viewing page layouts. The changelog on the firmware update also states that “Some sites that previously could not be correctly displayed, including interactive websites, are now supported with the PS3 system software 4.10.”
The last change is the ability to auto-update the system time when you sign-in to the Sony Entertainment Network. The new setting found under [Settings] > [Date and Time Settings] > [Auto setting] will mean your system will always have the correct time (should be useful when Summer Time begins next month).
