Sony has announced a wireless attachment for the PlayStation Move called the Sub-controller. SOCOM 4 is to support both the Move and Sub-controller devices. A demonstration of the game showed aiming and shooting being handled by the Move unit, while the Sub-controller handled movement and other functions.
Judging by the demo, aiming with the Move controller was smooth and easy with the aid of an on-screen cursor. While a very small segment of the game was shown, the gameplay consisted of cover based firefights and grenade lobbing which caused environmental destruction.
Sony is looking forward to seeing more hardcore shooters being played via a two controller set up. Perhaps the recent Killzone 3 rumor may materialise after all.
