With as little as a week remaining for the release of God of War III, one of the most [if not thee] anticipated games of 2010 and contender for the game of the year award, we at Xtreme PS3 were inclined to list a few facts regarding the game to add our share to the hype-o-meter.
Fact #1: It took 132 people to develop the game.
Fact #2: The title took just over 3 years to develop.
Fact #3: $44 million was spent to make the game, being within budget.
Fact #4: The game clocks 35GB’s worth of data on a dual layer Blu-ray disc.
Fact #5: The instalment will conclude the trilogy, but won’t spell the end of the franchise.
Fact #6: David Jaffe, the original God of War creator and ex-Sony employee, blogged:
Just finished GOD OF WAR III! WOW! What a ride! Thanks Sony Santa Monica for the best game I’ve played in years! F*****g loved it ya’ll! Congrats! It deserves to go super nova!
The game is already enjoying a number of highly rated reviews released by critics. With a current average score of 94% calculated from 44 reviews by metacritics, there’s no doubt that Sony has yet another critical smash on its hands.
God of War III is out March 16 in North America, March 19 in Europe and March 25 in Japan.
