If you missed the interview we posted yesterday with Final Fantasy XIII’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, and director, Motomu Toriyama, here is what you’ve missed. First off, there is still no word on a English demo of the game, more specifically they “haven’t decided whether to make a demo available yet.” If you are wondering about how long the game is, you can expect to spent 50-60 hours on the main story.
Of the 50-60 hours, the cut-scenes take up 10 hours, all of which is in HD. If you end up going all the side quests and extras in the game, you can expect to spend over 100 hours playing the game. The game has around 200 unique NPCs, each with individual textures for the skin, plus costumes, facial features and everything.
Playing the game itself doesn’t require hard drive installation – the game runs entirely off the disk. This is good news since many recent games require hard drive installations, including Bayonetta, Bioshock 2 and Heavy Rain to name a few.
