God of War III is one of the most anticipated exclusives this year on the Playstation 3 – come critics have gone as far as calling it the Game of the Year this early into 2010. Sony recently revealed several technical graphical details on GOW, stating it will run at 720p with 1080p up-scaling. Furthermore, Stig Asmussen, the director of the game, revealed in an interview with Arabic gaming site N4GA that his title will have a variable frame rate from 30 to 60 frames per second depending on the amount of action on screen.
In a separate interview, Asmussen also revealed that Kratos could be headed for the stereoscopic treatment, meaning you could play God of War III in 3D once the patch goes live. “I know that it is something, having talked to one of our engineers, that we could do,” Asmussen told NowGamer. “It will not be in God Of War III unless someone is sneaking something in that I don’t know about. But if it’s really easy to do and there’s an interest there’s no reason why we couldn’t discuss in the future adding a patch or re-releasing the game to work with the 3D stuff. I’d love to see it happen. I think it would be cool as sh*t.”
